Terms.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("Terms") govern your use of the OutStudy application and services (the "Service"), provided by Lambtor LLC ("Lambtor," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, your handle, and everything done through your account. Keep your credentials secure.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the OutStudy app on devices you own or control, for your personal use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the Service.
3. User-generated content
3.1 Your content and license to us
The Service lets you create and share content — including posts, comments, reactions, photos, profile details, journal entries you choose to share, squad and community activity, and messages in live rooms, direct messages, and group chats ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Lambtor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service.
3.2 Zero tolerance for objectionable content
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post or transmit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, and you may not impersonate others, spam, or abuse other users. This prohibition applies to all User Content, including handles, profiles, posts, photos, and messages.
3.3 Moderation, reporting, and enforcement
The Service provides tools to report objectionable content and to block abusive users. We review reports and may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and take other action at our discretion. We use a combination of automated and human moderation, and we act on objectionable-content reports — typically within 24 hours — by removing the content and ejecting the user who provided it where appropriate. Decisions about content and accounts are at our sole discretion.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal
OutStudy offers auto-renewing subscriptions sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. Key terms:
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase and upon each renewal.
- You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app or your OutStudy account does not cancel a subscription.
- Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends; unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase.
- Prices may change; we will provide notice as required by the app stores and applicable law. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to violate any law, infringe others' rights, interfere with or disrupt the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or circumvent security or usage limits, including the focus / app-blocking features.
6. Account deletion and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and its data from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is irreversible and does not cancel your subscription — cancel that separately in your App Store or Google Play settings (see Section 4). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lambtor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Lambtor is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
9. Apple App Store
If you download OutStudy from the Apple App Store, the following also applies: these Terms are between you and Lambtor only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-conformance, or consumer protection claims, or any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms and the App Store Usage Rules.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
